This is not an exaggeration: Gelateria La Romana is, without a doubt, our favorite ice cream shop in all of Italy and quite possibly the entire world. During our six-day stay in Turin, we were so captivated that we went here every single day—and sometimes even twice a day!

The gelato here is simply too tasty. We loved that there were so many different flavors to choose from, and we made a point of trying new ones every day. The quality is exceptional, and every single flavor we tried was delicious. Our absolute favorites were Pesto di Pistacchio, Crema dal 1947, Zabaione, Mango, and Mirtillo Nero.

And the cherry on top? The chocolate-covered cones are an absolute highlight that takes the experience to another level.

Even though the store was always busy and there were long queues, the service was consistently quick and incredibly friendly despite the heavy workload. The staff's efficiency and kindness made every visit a pleasure. We even tried another branch in Turin, but it simply didn't compare to this one.

We have been to many gelaterias in Italy, and this one has now surpassed our previous favorite, Gelateria Dondoli in San Gimignano. If you are in Turin, you must, absolutely must try...

Gelateria La Romana is hands down one of the best gelato experiences I've ever had. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite—rich, creamy, and full of authentic flavor. Each scoop tastes homemade, with just the right balance of sweetness and texture. The variety is impressive, from classic flavors like pistachio and hazelnut to seasonal and creative options that surprise and delight.

What makes La Romana stand out even more is their attention to detail. You can choose to fill the bottom of your cone with melted chocolate, and the whipped cream on top is fresh and indulgent. Everything is beautifully presented, and the atmosphere of the gelateria is warm, welcoming, and charmingly traditional.

The staff are friendly, efficient, and happy to offer recommendations or samples to help you choose. Whether you're grabbing a quick cone or enjoying a relaxed dessert with friends, the experience is consistently excellent.
