Il Grand Maghreb — Restaurant in Turin

I'm visiting Turin with my family and reading the positive reviews on here about this place so decided to try it. What a waste of time and money. Didn't enjoy it at all. The service was terrible, slow and not giving attention to the customer especially if they know we aren't from around there. Tables and chairs are dirty and messy with crumbs and bits of food left. I ended up cleaning it after the waiter did a quick sweep of the table.

We ordered separate chips and tagines and only got the chicken or meat in the sauce when the tagines arrived. They didn't add any of the veg on top. We waited a whole hour for them to come out and they gave us half of the food when it did. My children were hungry and ended up eating cold chips and bits of dry chicken and meat with the bread with NO plates or cutlery!! I had to give them the napkins as plates. Waiter nowhere to be seen. I wish I had taken pictures of how we were eating. My husband came back after prayers and complained about the food and then we waited another 20 mins for the tagines to come out as they were supposed to. But by that time I wasn't in the mood and my appetite had gone. I was so furious at the service and lack of care.

Don't even get me started about how filthy the wash rooms were. I haven't seen anything like that in a very long time. Something from Gotham city. Honestly fully disappointed in this place. They really need to make people feel welcomed and clean the damn restaurant. I actually can't believe I ate from there. I wish I had got up and left. Siamo andati a pranzo senza conoscere il posto e ci siamo lasciati stupire. Locale molto modesto, personale molto gentile e attento. I piatti tipici sono una meraviglia. Abbiamo provato sia il tagine di carne con le prugne sia il couscous con carne, e che dire, siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. La carne è tenerissima e si scioglie in bocca. Abbiamo accompagnato il tutto con il tè, che ci è stato gentilmente offerto. Che dire, non vediamo l’ora di tornare per provare altri piatti!...

Personalmente a me piacciono molto questi sapori che,ho avuto modo di gustare ,nei paesi d'origine, completamente distanti dalla nostra cultura culunaria. Nel locale si possono assaporare (voledo anche da asporto) ottime pietanze ad un prezzo...
