Imbarchino — Restaurant in Turin

Really a beautiful place. Prices are fine, and the view and location is perfect! Why one star?

I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome here. It says you should order at the counter, so I arrived but no one even bothered to look up and acknowledge my presence. So, I eventually I just said excuse me and gave my order. They acted as if I was an idiot and inconveniencing them.

When my order was done, I was shouted at. ‘Hey! Hey! Hey! Your order is up there!’.

They prefer to shout at me to pick up my own order, rather than bring it to me two steps over?

The staff really made everything feel like an inconvenience to them and their hangout time.

I could have stay here for a long time and relaxed, but I just felt really awful and had to leave....

Very crowded on the weekends. Waiting time is about thirty minutes if you're lucky or more. We went there on Valentines day that was a Sunday and the line was so long we took about 45 minutes to be served. It's by the river po so the views and air is refreshing to be around. Once inside, it's warm and they have also provided blankets for people seated outside as it tends to get a bit colder in the evenings. It's relatively cheap, it cost us about 12 euros for 3 alcoholic cocktails. Service was quite fast. I had a gin and tonic which was great! Served over some rocks of ice. The music and ambience was definitely worth the waiting and overall the experience was a great one and I would go back to explore the food...

Strolled by this Sunday lunchtime, fantastic vibe great music and very friendly staff and said I would go back fir aperitivo that afternoon. Unfortunately within a couple of hours the energy had changed, the place lacked the atmosphere that would have made up for the faults but without the energy the place just looks sad, it’s in a fantastic position and has so much potential but it’s missing the TLC and touches that would transform it into something special.... it wouldn’t cost much just a bit of imagination and respect for the history of this place! Give it what it deserves ....bags of style! The food was ok but plastic plates and glasses was just sad. The staff are really good. Come on guys.......
