Loved it!

We just saw this place while walking along in Turin and I am glad we found this place! We hesitated a little bit because when I checked Google Reviews it only has a 3.6 rating. I heavily rely on fellow reviewers for places we are not familiar with. I am glad we proceeded despite the 3.6 rating.

We came at around lunch time and the place was very busy, and it seems that most patrons there were regulars since we noticed some who were sat ahead of us did not even need the menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful and tried hard for us to speak English. My Italian is at a very beginner level and they took time to explain items on the menu we asked about.

My wife ordered a seafood pasta which she loved, my son ordered Margherita pizza which he liked a lot and finished, and my daughter loved the pasta she ordered. I ordered a steak dish which was a bit overcooked but it was really my mistake for not trying other dishes that seemed much better.

EVITARE COME LA PESTE!!

Siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante che definire turistico sarebbe fargli un complimento. Ingannati da un antipasto tutto sommato commestibile, io e la mia ragazza abbiamo ordinato una carbonara. Di carbonara però aveva ben poco: carbo crema dal sapore sospetto e troppo abbondante (aggiunta di panna?), guanciale assolutamente insapore. La recensione sarebbe potuta finire qui e avrei potuto dare 2 stelle. Il problema è che dopo alcune ore sia io che la mia ragazza abbiamo cominciato ad accusare sintomi da INTOSSICAZIONE ALIMENTARE. Io ho avuto crampi allo stomaco, nausea e vomito. Lei dissenteria.

Ora, dato che gli altri commensali non hanno accusato tali sintomi, è ovvio che il problema sia stata la carbonara che abbiamo preso solo noi 2. Saranno state le uova scadute da giorni? Il guanciale ammuffito? O (cosa secondo me più probabile) il preparato della pasta andato a male (e quindi una carbonara neanche preparata al momento)? Sta di fatto che abbiamo passato una notte infernale, insonne e dove abbiamo seriamente pensato di chiamare le autorità competenti per un controllo.

A questo aggiungete un servizio scadente (non cambiano neanche le posate dall'antipasto al primo, anzi se le porgi insieme al piatto da cambiare ti viene chiesto espressamente di tenerle!), e un locale dall'apparenza proprio trash, dozzinale, come un qualsiasi ristorante turistico che trovate nel centro di ogni città italiana.

Farò di tutto per diffondere un passaparola negativo su questo sciagurato "ristorante".

I proprietari, furbi come delle volpi stupide, negano dicendo che sia stata la torta a farci male. Peccato che:

Nessuno si è mai lamentato della torta, che anzi era molto buona (ovvio che non era preparata dallo chef dei Vitelloni, e meno male!)

Bella la teoria, peccato solo che degli altri commensali al tavolo (tra cui anche un bambino di 2 anni!) nessun'altro che ha mangiato la torta si è sentito male.

La mia ragazza non ha neanche assaggiato la torta, quindi come funzionerebbe secondo voi questa intossicazione bluetooth?

LA PEZZA È PEGGIO DEL BUCO, PESSIMI, PESSIMI, PESSIMI. Avevo dato 3 stelle al servizio, che dopo sta figuraccia diventa 1.

Big place, packet for the weekend, primarily familly with small kids place. Big choise of grill dishes of decent quality for desent money. As for the beers, I find 6,5 eur for pint a lot. The place should have a better ventilation because its quite stuffy when you enter from the street. The service is plesent and decently fast.
