Volver — Restaurant in Turin

ITA:Appena varcata la soglia del Volver mi sono sentito di nuovo a casa. I camerieri sono fantastici e quasi tutti argentini, la sala è pittoresca e il servizio impeccabile. L’attenzione al cliente è sempre altissima e semplicemente si respira un’aria di serenità e amicizia. La carne è di primissima qualità, così come le empanadas, i contorni, il vino ed il liquore tipico. Entrambi rigorosamente argentini. I prezzi sono modici considerando che si è in un ristorante di qualità. In definitiva, entrare nel Volver è per me un tuffo nel passato e un tuffo in un altro pianeta: quello argentino. A tutti gli effetti, il Volver rappresenta una piccola perla argentina nel cuore di Torino in grado di addolcire anche i cuori più ostinati. L’accento argentino dello staff si mescola al sapore soffice e genuino della carne, andando a creare un’atmosfera semplice e sincera: un po’ come a casa. Torneremo per il mondiale e lo consiglio a tutti coloro che vogliano passare una serata da ricordare. A tutto lo staff: gracias por todo.

ENG: without any doubt this restaurant represents a diamond in the earth of Turin. Personally, walk into this restaurant is a trip back in the days where I was growing up in Argentina. The staff is amazingly nice and ready to help customers anytime. The atmosphere is pure magic and it is definitely the best place to have a simple, genuine and great night. Food is brilliant, wine & liquors amazing (both of them strictly Argentinian). I would have given it five stars if the second night that we had dinner there was the same as the first. But a change in cooks is a change that wasn't so good. First night we walked away thinking it was the best steak and potato dish we've ever had. Second night we went there. It was just mediocre. We found out later that they didn't have the same chef cooking. Potato was overcooked and dry and the steak was way undercooked and under seasoned so not the same flavor on either. Definitely disappointed the second night. Dessert...

food was great and service was good until the last moment when the staff fumbled our order. we had purchased a shared menu on the condition that there would be some adjusments made.

We had said we did not want the desert and that one of us would take the smallest steak available. The waiter agreed.

When we went to pay the bill we were charged full price and when we explained about the previous agreement, we were told " you paid for the menu". outrageous!

we were the only people left by the end of the night and we were very amicable. They dismissed us and so we will not be returning here. Clearly, fear of COVID has reduced the integrity of this buissness so much so that they forget to be hospitable

il cibo era ottimo e il servizio era buono fino all'ultimo momento in cui il personale ci ha armeggiato. avevamo acquistato un menu condiviso a condizione che venissero apportate alcune modifiche.

Avevamo detto che non volevamo il dessert e che uno di noi avrebbe preso la bistecca più piccola disponibile. Il cameriere acconsentì.

Quando siamo andati a pagare il conto ci è stato addebitato il prezzo intero e quando abbiamo spiegato l'accordo precedente, ci è stato detto "hai pagato per il menu". oltraggioso!
