Al Pesador Osteria is a charming and intimate restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience in the heart of Venice. Known for its warm ambiance, exceptional cuisine, and friendly staff, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Venetian flavors in a relaxed setting. One of the most unique aspects of this osteria is the daring glass-floor table, which adds an element of excitement for adventurous diners. Sitting here gives you a thrilling view beneath your feet, making for a truly unforgettable meal. Nestled just a short walk from the Grand Canal, Al Pesador is perfectly situated for a leisurely evening of delicious food and fine wine. The menu features fresh, locally sourced ingredients, expertly prepared to showcase the rich culinary traditions of Venice. Whether you’re indulging in fresh seafood, handmade pasta, or a perfectly paired glass of regional wine, every bite is a testament to the city’s vibrant food culture. The outdoor seating along the canal provides a picturesque setting for enjoying the beauty of Venice while savoring your meal. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic dinner or a casual gathering with friends, Al Pesador Osteria promises a delightful and memorable experience.

If you're looking for a spot with an incredible view and great service, this is the spot. If you're looking for top food in Venice, it's a mixed bag at best. We ordered some wine and they brought it in an ice bucket and were good to refill, but not feeling like they were pushing you to drink faster. Bruschetta was simple; nothing special but nothing terrible. No balsamic or oil on it, probably the least exciting dish on our trip. We got the sea bass dish as well as the sea bass with prawns and scallops. The fish was prepared table side and was pretty tasty, though both had a lot of bones in them. I get it's hard to get out but it was enough to make a comment on. The prawns and scallops were unremarkable, especially for the very high price tag. Servers were helpful with wine and made us feel very special. So if you go, keep it simple on the food, get some wine, do some people watching, and enjoy the views. Just keep expectations low for the food.

This restaurant is located really close to a pretty big channel and from the terrace you have a very nice view. When we came, the terrace was almost full and I can see why. Apart from the nice view, I had a really good Aperol spritz. Usually, I am not a fan of Aperol but the waiter convinced me by saying thay what they had is sweeter and he was right. Besides, the beverage was more dilluted so very easy to drink. I had a lasagna which did not seem better than what I had before but it was good. I also tasted what my friends have ordered: fish lasagna and pasta with burrata and scallops. Both of them were very flavourful and looked amazing. Surprinsingly, even if this place is very near to water and offers a nice view, the prices were actually very decent, lower than we expected. The staff was very friendly to us as well. I really recommend this place.

The host flat out refused to give me a table because I was a single person. I had been looking forward to this dinner all day and had planned my evening around going to this restaurant as it was my last night in Italy. At first, the host said they were full and it would be an hour wait. I confirmed that I would wait an hour and then he told me it wouldn’t be possible for me to get a table at all because I was only one person. I said I would get two courses but he said no and turned me away. Went to the adjacent square almost in tears because I was so shocked at the way he spoke to me. I’m used to getting the worst table in the house as a single person (which is also totally unfair) but this is the first time I have ever been turned away with no possibility of waiting or a minimum spend or anything. Went next door to Bancogiro instead and it was excellent! Go...
