For the foodies: The third highly rated ciccheti place we've been in the same day. And by far the best.
This is a gastronomic experience, unlike the rest which are just pub experiences.
The cicchetis are more expensive, at 3€ a piece, but well worth the price. It's bigger, the quality of the ingredients show, and they toast every piece of cicchetis. Bread should always be toasted, it gives it a nice crunch and the aroma of the toppings come out more too
They do bacalao in two styles. The creamy one is perfect, super creamy and not fishy, with a mild saltiness.
The chunky one is not as good, it smells like it's GG to be very strong but it turns out to be surprisingly mild which was weird
Gorgonzola was so soft
2nd visit: Out of all the cicchetis places, this is the only one we came back for a second time. We each got two pieces of the creamy salted cod. That should tell you how good this thing was.
Baby octopus was in a nice sweet tomato sauce
The big octopus w potato foam and olives was ok, mild flavours
Porchetta was alright, not that impressive
They're definitely one of the best, if you're a foodie you must visit, it's honestly quite hard to outdo some of their cicchetis, even though I obviously haven't tried all the famous places in venice
Their espresso isn't as...
Read moreA real gem of a bacaro! We stumbled upon Al Momoleto De Le Voie while exploring Venice and were absolutely delighted. The cicchetti were fantastic - fresh, flavourful, and with a great variety. You can tell they care about quality here. We tried several different types, from baccalà and lardo to prawns, anchovies and mortadella bites, and every single one was spot on.
The wine selection was also excellent - reasonably priced and perfectly paired with the food. It’s a small and cozy place, full of character, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Music was great and not too loud so you could easily talk. Definitely one of our favourite stops in Venice for a relaxed glass of wine and bite to eat. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an authentic cicchetti experience away from the...
Read moreThis is a very small, cozy bacaro in Venice more of a stand-up or bar-stool kind of place with just a few seats, which adds to the charm. The vibe is super chill, perfect for a quick bite and a glass of wine.
We had our very first cicchetti experience here, and it was amazing. We stuck to the seafood options and loved every bite. The cod cicchetti was so soft, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The sweet onion with shrimp was a total surprise, I’m usually not an onion fan, but the marination completely won me over. And of course, the smoked salmon with cream cheese was a classic that you just can’t go wrong with.
These three were our absolute favorites, and they’ve set a high bar for cicchetti in Venice. We’d most certainly...
