La Bella Pollastrella — Restaurant in Venice

We spent 4 nights in Venice and explored various different restaurants around San Marco and other areas.

We decided to get lost around our hotel in Cannergeio and stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant. The staff were very friendly and aware.

We were situated right next to the water edge and the atmosphere was beautiful with romantic lighting and music.

It was busy and packed and I can see why. Many locals were eating here and it doesn’t require a booking like many other popular restaurants.

It discovered it on our last day which is a shame as I would loved to eat here again!

There was also a man who walked past with roses and the staff saw a female alone eating, looking a little upset. One of them bought a rose and took it over to her. It was a little gesture but shows how much the staff members cared for.

Esperienza deludente Ho collaborato con “La Bella Pollastrella” a Venezia per lavori di rivestimento in legno delle pareti nel cortile interno del locale. Nonostante il lavoro sia stato eseguito con precisione e professionalità, non ho ricevuto il pagamento concordato di 3.654€. Ho cercato una soluzione amichevole, ma la gestione non ha mostrato alcuna disponibilità. Questo atteggiamento solleva seri dubbi sull’affidabilità del ristorante, non solo come datore di lavoro ma anche come impresa. Disappointing Experience I collaborated with “La Bella Pollastrella” in Venice to install wooden wall coverings in the restaurant’s internal courtyard. Despite completing the work with precision and professionalism, I was not paid the agreed amount of €3,654. I tried to resolve the issue amicably, but the management was uncooperative. Great place with friendly staff and fair prices. We were in Venice for 3 Days, on two of them we stopped by this place. We tried various dishes, like carbonara, bolognese, grilled chicken, antipasti verdura, cheese plate, and everything was very deliciious. We especially recommend the gnocchi burro e salvia, and the outstanding good bolognese and the grilled chicken, which is the speciality of the house. I am Italian, and it tasted like home :) the service charge is quite low with 1 euro. should i come to venice again, i'd definetly visit again.

update 20./23.8.21: we came again. i was with two different groups on these days, everyone was very pleased with the food. sizes were a little smaller than 2019, but still its money worth. we come again...
