It’s a shame that this is a rather grotty space as it could be a lovely resource for residents and visitors. The best thing about it is that unlike the rest of Venice it has some benches, one star for that. However they seem to be designed to move you on quickly, very uncomfortable as they somehow dig into your back. In September it was mainly areas of, let’s call it grass but it was really bare patches of scruffy earth, a few trees and some neglected paths. The children’s play area looked ok, so a star for that. There were a couple of large court like enclosed areas that I think were for letting dogs run loose. There was a dog in there barking incessantly while it’s owner talked on her phone. There was an empty sad looking ‘fountain’? and that was about it. If you want somewhere to sit for a few minutes to eat a sandwich or gelato it’s ok for that. Plenty of benches. A playground for small kids and a separate one for bigger kids. Small pic nic tables available. We go here at least 3 times a week. Also places for dogs on the other side...
