We found this after walking around looking for a restaurant,bar/snack place that was happy for us to just have drinks and chiccheti outside.

It is tucked away so it's quiet and not many people walk past. It was exactly what we were looking for.

We were greeted quickly and welcomed to have wine, beer and snacks.

They came out very quickly. Very tasty! We asked for no fish and he made amazing meat and vegetables on bread with lots of toppings.

The restaurant was empty inside so we seemed to be the only customers at that time.

The toilet was lovely and clean and the restaurant itself had a wonderful feel to it.

My only complaint would be that the service charge was added and we had not had this at any other restaurant we had been to whilst in Venice.

We would happily have left a tip but considering we had 2 wines, beer, Hugo spritz and chiccheti, I was shocked.

Overall, great place but would have been the same price in the...

Location was very convenient for us and the venue is clean and the backyard garden is very pretty. The waiter was friendly and spoke good english. Price was average and the place was clean.

However, all the food we ordered was sub-par. Mixed salad was a sad collection of tomatoes and lettuce. (something of of my high school cafeteria from 1980s) Seafood risotto was under-cooked ( not creamy at all) and mediocre seafood. Clam Pasta (Spaghetti alle vongole ) was also sub par with sad state of clams ( really small and tasteless) This was first dinner in Venice and since then, we have visited 3 other dinner places and they all have been better than this.

Unless this was a mistake by a cook( possible for risotto), but sad state of ingredient makes me think this is a wider issue and not just limited to a single dish. Unless they really improve their dish, I strongly recommend you...

Absolutely beautiful food and service! We visited on Sunday 3rd march 2024 and had full 3 course of deliciousness ❤️. The place was packed and the waiter was still attentive and friendly. There was a mixture of locals, tourists and families with young children, all enjoying themselves and the wonderful food. We had the mixed seafood platter to share for starter....AMAZING!❤️. My partner had the duck Ragu and I had the seafood spaghetti...BOTH BEAUTIFUL!❤️ for dessert I had the tiramisu, which was so light and delicate, and my partner (who really doesn't do pudding) had the chocolate cake and was blown away! Top scores across the board. As a father of 3 seeing how at home the staff made the mother and father with young children next to us, literally melted my heart! Those kids eat wonderful food and their parents must have felt so good after being treated so well...

My "vegetable spaghetti" was a culinary nightmare. The limp, overcooked faux-noodles resembled mush, and the vegetables were a dull, flavorless congregation. But the worst part? A strange, off-putting odor from the dish *gag reflex*. Disappointed, I politely expressed my concerns to the waitstaff. Their response? A complete letdown. No offer to replace the dish, no attempt to understand my critique, not even an apology. It felt like a conveyor belt - in, pay, out. This dismissive attitude, coupled with the inedible "spaghetti," leaves me wondering if anyone at the Osteria actually tastes their food.

While we were walking around the city we decided to eat at this restaurant. I haven't read any comments about this restaurant anywhere. We wanted to try our luck. And we left this restaurant happy. This is a small local restaurant. You can dine here in a quiet and peaceful environment. I love old style decoration. As far as I understand from the customers, Italian customers also prefer this place. This is an important detail for me. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious. You can check the menu in front of the door for prices.
