Osteria Sottobanco — Restaurant in Venice

The best meal I had in Venice! Visit after dinner for a small bite and drink but us not knowing the menu well, we just ordered something random (menu stated it has ham and cheese)! We also ordered an aperol spritz and a Hugo spritz!

I have to say, the ‘pizza’ like bites were super duper amazing! The bread was extremely soft with the most generous of ingredients I’ve seen on top of a bread! The taste was one that keeps me going in for another bite after another bite despite already having a full dinner! Also shout out to the bar - I had the best hugo spritz here!

The price was extremely reasonable and I love the service too!

This is the best place to eat and take a sip of refined wine in Venice! The dishes are fresh and very tasty, made only with local products and alot of passion for italian specialties❤! I ate here the best beef lasagna, I totally recommend it! The wines are very wise chosen, and you can always ask Sergio to find the best mix for the taste of food and wine, to maximize your experience there. It's a cozy place, where you'll find many locals eating there(this is the best sign that it's a quality place), and for sure it will give you an authentic italian experience❤. Hidden gem away from the tourists! Nothing beats eating great cicchetti amongst italians! The Baccalà Mantecato, mortadella burrata e pistacchi the Schiacciate were amazing! The service was second to none! Aperol Spritz for my wife and Negroni for myself were on point! My 7 year old daughter accidentally dropped my cocktail and she was crying out of embarrassment but the waiter turned the situation around! He was kind to her and consoled her!
