DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE, I recommend everyone to stay away from this shady place. The staff there are super pushy and annoying about trying to get you to sit down as soon as you pass by. It’s literally harassment. I decided the outside didn’t look to bad so I sat down. The prices are outrageous and the food is super low quality. I ordered a pizza that tasted like a frozen homemade pizza and was way to expensive for what it is. Also the waiters are hesitant about offering drink menus so they can upcharge people on already absurdly high prices. I had to ask 4 times and when I got it the small beer was 7 euros which was a total rip off. After my food arrived I asked for some olive oil to give my pizza some taste. The “extra virgin olive” oil was super runny and yellowish. As soon as I tasted it, I knew sometning was wrong since it barely tasted like olive oil. I had assumed they mixed vegetable oil with a tiny splash of olive oil and put it in the bottle that says “ extra virgin”. I was super annoyed so I decided to confront the waiter about it, he literally admitted to it and said “ yeah it might be mixed with another oil” and he himself even said “ that is way to runny and yellow to be olive oil” When I asked for my check they said okay but never brought it until I got up and went up to them asking for it for the 3rd time. Once I got my check, I saw they automatically include a 12% service charge for terrible service. This is ridiculous as they definitely didn’t deserve it due to their shady and sketchy business practices. The whole experience was terrible and felt like they were trying to scam me since I was obviously a tourist. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Terrible business practices, bad food, high prices, fake olive oil, bad service and much more wrong with this place. I would rate this place zero stars if I could Biggest tourist trap...
Read moreAfter a long day visiting Venice we decided to grab a pizza to share before an hour and half drive back to our Airbnb. We were hot, tired and ready for a break but thanks to the heat not wanting a big meal. In the end we shared a brushetta starter, a ham pizza, portion of fries and 1 coke, 2 waters. Drinks were served within seconds of ordering.....the food took over an hour - everyone we saw here seemed to be waiting for food for 90% of the time we were there and that's not because the kitchen was rushed off it's feet - there was only around 8 people in total that we could see ordering food, the place was empty. This should have been a massive red flag and after 30min without the starter I almost walked out. Anyway when the food finally came it really was nothing special and we had to ask for the bill twice, the first time when we said we were in a bit of a rush because it had taken a while for the food rather than fetch a bill they brought a dessert tray and asked what we wanted for dessert. Nothing that's why I said can I have the bill please ! It was at this point we got to find out how expensive the below average food was. The starter had been suggested and we thought yeah why not, the pizza we had seen on menu at around €12 I think /maybe 14, Fries can't remember, drinks 1 bottle coke 2 waters, never saw a drinks menu so when the bill was €50 a really knew we had hit a poor quality tourist trap. We also had breakfast & lunch in Venice as we were there 12 hours - they were both great half the price of this place and miles better quality. GO ELSEWHERE there are much better places! In fact the motorway services on the way back would have been around €25 for the 2 of us to eat better fresh food because Autogrill in the service stations are seriously...
Read moreWe were so hungry and tired that we didn't think of reading the reviews for this place. We wanted to try the fish in Venice, they said they had great fish dishes. They sat us promptly and pushed us to order right way. Italian food is not my primary choice of food sine. I have a minor inconvenience to be lactose intolerant. After looking at the menu, the fish dishes were so expensive like €40. Being a coastal city, I would think fish should be cheaper. They had branzino fish which is a type of sea bass. In Canada, a fresh branzino I can get a one-pounder for €6. My wife ordered the special seafood inspired lunch menu for €15.5 consisted of a seafood pasta which was pretty decent dish and a mixed deep fried fish and salad dish. There was no fish on sight, there were 6 calamari rings and 1 shrimp. They shouldn't call this dish mixed fish. Fish doesn't include calamari and shrimp. Fish is fish. We were not very impressed and my dish was a plain pasta with meatballs. I managed to finish the pasta only which was ok. The meatballs were the worst 5 tiny ones, with no flavour, chewy and tough to eat. I make a better meatball at home. This dish was €14, I think. The still water bottle was €4.5 and they charged a 12% service fee. Therefore, I left no tip. One reviewer said it should raised flags the fact that most staff are not Italian descent. I think they are just making a living. They are paid to up-sell and push people to order fast. - update: my wife had a stomach ache this morning and it's due to their food. It was are only...
