I recently dined at Ristorante Pizza e Bar Da Celio, and I must say it was an incredibly disappointing experience. From start to finish, this restaurant failed to meet even the most basic expectations for a decent meal.

Firstly, the service was atrocious. The staff was inattentive, and we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time just to place our order. When the food finally arrived, it was clear that there was a severe lack of care and quality control in the kitchen.

Now, let's talk about the pizza. The pizza we received was nothing short of a culinary disaster. The crust was undercooked and doughy, making it nearly inedible. The toppings were sparse and poorly distributed, with barely any cheese or sauce to speak of. The few vegetables that were present were overcooked and charred to the point of bitterness.

The most egregious aspect of our meal was the overall presentation. The pizza looked unappetizing and hastily thrown together, as if no effort was made to create a visually appealing dish. It was a stark contrast to the beautiful, vibrant pizzas we had hoped to enjoy.

To top it all off, the cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable at best. The tableware and cutlery were not properly cleaned, and the overall hygiene of the place left much to be desired.

In summary, Ristorante Pizza e Bar Da Celio provided one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The combination of poor service, subpar food quality, and lack of cleanliness makes it a place I cannot recommend to anyone. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a...

DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT. IT’S A SCAM. Should’ve known it was bad immediately when we sat down to a stained table cloth. Food quality was extremely subpar (waiter never bothered to ask how someone in our family wanted their meat cooked so it came out essentially raw). The only water they could provide was small bottles of water. The chicken I received looked like it had been cooked by a 10 year old in Home Economics Class.

The kicker is that when we were provided the bill, we politely said we didn’t have cash for a tip, and all of a sudden, the restaurant’s EFTPOS machine wouldn’t accept any of our cards for the bill despite the cards being used all day in other places and still having plenty of funds. We believe the restaurant purposely buggered their EFTPOS machine so that we were forced to pay them cash. Predictably, we were told it was obviously our cards that were the problem as “500 people” had used it that day without issue. Ultimately so there wouldn’t be a problem with the amount of cash they received, we gave them what we pulled from the ATM which was the bill plus an extra four dollars.

Waiter stood there and counted his money as we walked out. Pretty damning if you ask me. If your waiter immediately gets pissed off/agitated when you don’t give them a tip for garbage food and a dirty setting and then provides you an EFTPOS machine that doesn’t work with any card forcing you to use cash, it’s probably a sign that you’ve encountered a scam. If you like losing your money to scams, this is the...

Here's a real review about this place. My wife and I came here for multiple meals during our stay in Venice and we were beyond happy that we did. The food was fantastic... especially the house wine. The service was great. The waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating. Honestly, I see a bunch of "1, 2, and 3-star" reviews that are completely unjustified. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. The location is perfect (right next to the San Marco Square). The ambiance is charming. It's exactly what you would expect from an authentic Venetian street-side restaurant. The food is not a full of the usual "junk" that most Americans are use to so the simplicity of the taste my go unnoticed. There's a very honest flavor to the cuisine that reminds me of my Italian grandmother's cooking. The lasagna, for example, was amazing. Again, I would absolutely recommend that you try this restaurant. Have a bottle of house wine, get a pasta dish, relax, and enjoy the perfect...

This is, without a doubt, one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever visited. It’s in a prime location, and we were drawn in by the energetic doorman. But don’t be fooled—his enthusiasm was the only good thing about this place. What followed was a total disaster. Italy, a country known for its exceptional pasta even in the smallest villages, should be ashamed to have this restaurant within its borders. The pasta was terrible—undercooked and bland, tasting like nothing but plain tomato. The carbonara was even worse. I’ve seen videos where Italian chefs take pride in their dishes, but this restaurant is an embarrassment to that tradition. We thought maybe the dessert would redeem the experience, but the tiramisu was a huge letdown—honestly, the one from my local supermarket tastes better. If you don’t want to ruin your day with this awful food, stay far away from this place. Avoid it like the plague!

The staff were extremly rude. The food was bad, really bad. I ordered the spaghetti a la carbonara and it was nothing more than spaghetti with oil and bacon. It had no flavor. My partner had ravioli. The ravioli was so over cooked that it was like gum paste in your mouth. The garlic toast was like pita bread with oil and garlic. I only took a few bites of my carbonara and left the rest. When the waiter came to clean the table, he didn't inquire as to why there was still a full plate of food on my plate. He just took the plates and left. Not a single word was said. There was no "how was your meal", no "was the food okay", not even a thank you when we left. Trust me, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
