昭和ラーメン風 — Restaurant in Beppu

Stumbled across this place on a quiet Sunday evening. The menu was simple with 4 different options of ramen and had English translation which was appreciated.

The owner is a reserved and stern looking man, but prepared our ramen and gyoza well. We ordered a spicy ramen with mustard leaf and a chasiu ramen and they were both delicious. Do note the ramen comes with beansprouts. The gyoza was also very soft and tasty.

Overall we paid 2350 yen for everything which was very reasonable. Highly recommended for everyone looking for a ramen...

We were there at late night before closing.

The owner was super nice and gentle. We have two kids with us, and the owner welcome us nicely and warmly.

The ramen is chewy and soup is tasty!!! Y daughter said that was the best ramen she had!!!!

We were the last customer of the day, but the owner never in a rush, we even chatted a bit after.

Highly recommend this local ramen restaurant!!! And the shop cat is super cute :)

I don't think the owner like foreigner , may be they don't like Chinese or other Asian . They were very rude when they first took our order. The gentlemen later slam the noodles on our table when it was ready. We felt offended, we know most Japanese are very friendly but I would not go to...
