On our two-day trip in Shizuoka and Yamanashi, me and my friend D stumbled upon this restaurant in Fujikawaguchiko. After a day spent camping in front of mount Fuji, the pupusas got all of our attention, especially as we never got any chance to try El Salvador food.

Not only everything we orderered was delicious, and the horchata was so flavourful, but the waitresses were so nice and lovely! I would personally add one more pupusa to that menu option as only two might be two little, but leaving that aside we had a great experience and I definitely would reccomend this place to everyone! I couldn't help but notice some similarities between pupusas and Japanese food, and I found very fascinating how country so far from each other's can have similar food!

Also, I hope you guys managed to find an artist to draw your...

During my month trip, I was craving some food that wasn’t Japanese and it’s super hard to find good Mexican food and even more so Salvadoran food, when I finally made it back to Tokyo, it was my mission to go try these pususas. I finally arrived and the staff and Dina were amazing and were quick with everything, I tried the revuelto pupusas first and my god they were the best ones I’ve had in years, even better than the ones I’ve had in the states. Next were the chimichurri pupusas and my god, even better. The horchata I had was freshly made and once again super delicious. I enjoyed chatting with Dina and her staff about Salvador and about Japan, I can’t wait to visit them again during my next trip. Thank you so much again Dina for the amazing food and...

The vegetarian pupusas were so good — perfectly crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. But the real standout was the horchata — genuinely the best I’ve tasted that I can remember. As a Salvadoran, it was amazing to experience a taste of my culture in such a completely different part of the world. The food was so good I ended up coming back twice in the same day after exploring the Mt. Fuji area. Highly recommend the horchata. It’s authentic, refreshing, and made with care. Thank you to Café Dina for such a warm, meaningful experience! Owner was super friendly!
