After ten days of raw fish and ramen, our appetites were craving something different. My husband, voice filled with hope, found us a tiny pizza place in Kawaguchiko. Pizza in the shadow of Mt. Fuji—was it a bold move? Absolutely, and it paid off.
This spot is a true one-man show: owner, chef, and waiter all rolled into one. He runs the place solo for just two hours a day, 12:00–14:00, and fires each pizza in a proper wood-burning oven. A sign at the entrance even requests patience—“it’s only me”—which was an endearing touch. And the pizzas? Thin crust, with a few charred spots here and there, but delicious all the same. The prices are fair, ranging from ¥1650 to ¥1900, and the homemade berry drinks were refreshing and perfectly paired.

Edit: be careful while planning your dinner time, since google maps opening hours are not updated by the owner, so try to call them in front and check if they’re open. We arrived another day within their opening hours (Monday, 1pm), but the restaurant was closed, yet I find it ridiculous to leave one star review for such reason as many have done here and there. Furthermore, there are no opening hours given anywhere in front of the pizzeria (when...

The taste is good not that store bought one. Pizza size maybe good for 1-2 person. Price is also reasonable. We also ordered Prosciutto Salad (sorry we immediately ate it so no chance or take a photo🤤) their dressing was so good! It really complements the freshly sliced prosciutto and parmesan cheese.
They serve Pizza, Pasta, Salad, Beer and Wine (also Juice/Soda). When you go visit please expect that most restaurants in the area are...
