Upon entering, we were nervous about the lack of cleanliness and the feel of the room. But we decided to give it a go and it might be the best decision we’ve made in Japan so far!
The owner is old and is moving fairly slowly, but as soon as we ordered he began to dance around the kitchen and very quickly whipped up perhaps the best Chinese food I’ve had… ever!
Chinese style ramen, sweet n sour pork, fried noodles and veg, dumplings(made to order!). Everything was unreal.
A little on the pricier side compared to most of what we’ve eaten in Japan, but I think it’s justified given the quality of the food.

Keep your expectations on low on customer service and be patient. We helped other tourists coming in by passing our menus on to them etc as it was clear the old man is hard at work. The menus are written in English and its easy to point to.
The food was tasty and we enjoyed the whole experience of being part of it. Please don’t turn your nose up at this place. I would rather give my money to a hardworking old man, a great meal is a great meal.

Read moreWell, when we entered the restaurant a very old man greeted us and showed us the menu. It's simple but good. The food was very very nice, he made it right in front of us, because the restaurant is hidiously tiny and we were basically sitting in the kitchen.
You should be aware that this is not a divine dining experience, but rather a Chinese street food thing; or you feel like you're sitting in a Chinese home.
As other reviews already said, it's not clean, but you can rather see that it was used for many many years.
