At the Apple Pie Lab near Mount Fuji, visitors are treated to a delightful fusion of traditional dessert and scenic beauty. Nestled in the peaceful foothills of Japan’s most iconic mountain, this cozy spot is renowned for its handcrafted apple pies—each slice brimming with fresh, locally sourced apples. The crust is golden and flaky, perfectly complementing the sweet and slightly tart filling.
What makes the experience even more special is the accompanying ice cream, made in-house and served in generous scoops. The creamy vanilla flavor pairs beautifully with the warm pie, creating a comforting contrast of textures and temperatures. Whether you enjoy your dessert on the terrace with a view of Mount Fuji or inside the charming café, the setting adds to the indulgence.

Read moreWish I had found the English version of this shop's review before coming, the Japanese reviews had high ratings so we were excited to try their cheesecake. There were 4 of us so we wanted to get two slices of cakes and their ''specialty cheesecake'', but the latter was for take outs only so we ended up getting four slices of assorted cakes and their original sweet cheesecake. To think they had such a huge sign advertising their cheesecake, you would at least expect decent tasting cakes but they were absolutely horrible. Worst case scenario, go for the new york or double cheese cake if you're desperate but DO NOT get the matcha cheesecake (taste like cheap scented agar jelly), or the sour cream cheesecake (it was basically overwhipped whip cream with a slight hint of sour cream). We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but again their speciality cake was a complete disappointment. Do yourself a favour, please do not pay 720 yen for something that taste like a whipped cream that has gone bad. Go to your nearest 7-11 for that cheesecake fix (not sponsored by 7-11 i swear).

Read moreThe worst and most impolite store I have ever been over my last 50+ trips in Japan. Our group had five in total. We walked in the store and searched for seats. The waitress loudly told us we had to order here to have a seat the moment we touched the chairs, as if we were going to occupy the seats without ordering anything. Told her we were going to order and checked the menu. Again, she repeated each of us has to order a cake to have the seats while checking the menu (our plan was to order a cake and a cup of coffee for each of us). We ordered one by one, and she impatiently repeated again more cakes needs to bee ordered while two of us were checking which cakes to order. After finishing ordering, she mistakenly pointed the lady behind us as one of our group and insisted us order one more cake. She ignored our explanation not until the lady told her she was not one of us. The whole experience was insulting and I strongly recommend you not to shop...
