My girlfriend and I had an extremely bad experience at Irori. When we entered the Izakaya as politely as we could after removing our shoes, the waiter yelled at us to stay out. After 5 minutes of waiting with nothing happening, we asked if it was okay if we came in. The waiter refused and said he was busy and there was a long waiting time, even though there was an empty table just in front of us and the atmosphere seemed pretty calm. It was very clear from the situation that the waiter did not want foreigners at his place. My girlfriend and I are Danish and don't speak Japanese, but are always very respectful to the Japanese culture and language.
