This was an unexpected but wonderful find in the town of Fujiyoshida. We discovered the tea shop while walking down a street with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. The owner greeted us with complimentary samples that tasted so good we had to step inside.

The shop specializes in authentic Japanese tea blends—flavors that are hard to find elsewhere. It also offers original herbal mixtures, made from natural ingredients gathered around Mount Fuji, that are perfect for anyone avoiding caffeine. Each pot of tea is served with three small desserts that pair beautifully with the drinks.

The owners were exceptionally friendly. They went out of their way to communicate with us in English, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The interior has a superb, relaxing atmosphere, and the panoramic view of Mount Fuji makes this an ideal spot for a restorative break.

Everything in this little Teabar is perfect. It smells so good and the Owner is such a nice Guy. There was no other customer so we could Chat a little bit; I really enjoyed my short stay there. First he gave me a little Sample of one Tea to taste, than I decided to stay and taste another one and some of the sweets. They there soo good! We went to the new evening. We didn't know but were delighted to find out it was stage opening of a new bar with food, possibly and Izakaya of sorts, should have asked. The guys were amazing. Local gin with homemade mixers. Delish! They had 4 cold dishes that sit on the bar and you can order small portions of them. Fantastic omelette, plum and beef stew of some kind, mushroom and radish.
