鮨割烹 花絵巻 ( HANAEMAKI ) — Restaurant in Fukuoka

I visited there during the lunch hour and it wasn't fully occupied and as a non-Japanese-speaking tourist, an awfully quiet restaurant always makes visitors tense up! Since there was no English menu, I had no clue what and how to order. Thus, I ordered the most expensive lunch set in the menu and I wasn't disappointed! It never occurred to me that this place would serve me sushi pieces one by one (quite an experience)! The sushi pieces (and of course I was clueless which kind of fish was which) were not only fresh but rich in texture! One noteworthy thing was that the sushi rice was perfectly prepared as I found some Japanese sushi restaurants overly seasoned the rice! Although the lunch was expensive, the dining experience (or should I say, adventure)...

(PLS READ CAREFULLY) It was a great experience. I went for the 4400 yen (11pc) course and my friend went for the 6600 (13pc). If you can make a uni nigiri sushi, you know he's skilled.

Only thing that made us confused was it did not have any tuna sushi despite the price, we wanted to try tuna belly. I wish I knew better Japanese to communicate. Also my caucasian friend got an apple pie as the final dessert but wouldve been better if it was a classic egg sushi.

Other than that, the chef was really busy for our sushi and the lady was very caring. Thank you so much. The 4 star doesnt mean something is bad, 5 star loses impact when I use it too often,...

내가 일본에서 방문한 음식점 중에서 가장 친절했다. 사장님과 사모님으로 보이는 분들이 생선 이름을 하나하나 한국말로 알려 주셨으며, 오마카세로 나오는 초밥의 맛도 상당히 고급졌다. 초밥 위의 해산물도 상당한 크기였다. 가격은 인당 8000엔 정도 했던걸로 기억하며, 현금만 가능하다. 후쿠오카를 가게 되면, 간단하게 오마카세를 경험코자 한다면 여기를 가라고 무조건 추천한다. 따뜻한 친절과 함께 맛있는 음식을 맛 볼 수 있을것이다.

Hanae Maki is the most kind restaurant I have ever been during my visits to Japan. The boss and his supporter were so kind enough to read out the names of fishes in my native toungue (Korean. If they know Korean, im sure they will know English also) so me and my partner could know what is it that we are having. The Maki and Sushi were very fresh, not too strong, yet not too subtle, made right infront of my sight, fishes on top of Sushi were very big. For about JPY 8,000(cash only) per head, you will experience the most kind and delicious delicacy in Fukuoka. I definitely recommend that travelers will go...
