At the time of writing, the aggregate Maps score for this restaurant is 4.4. In my view, that is a very accurate representation of the restaurant, though, unfortunately, Maps forces users to choose between 4 and 5.
We chose 4 stars, rather than 5, because of the terribly hard seats that many others have complained about and an Eggs Benedict that didn’t meet (admittedly high) expectations.
Otherwise, we really enjoyed our breakfast here. The Brûlée Pancakes were a hit, as was the Flat White coffee - both very worthy of five stars!
The restaurant is cute too! Reservations are needed. The restaurant goes to lengths to remind customers that each member of a party must order at least one dish and that visits must concluded within two hours (though, I’m not sure if anyone could sit for two hours on the terribly uncomfortable chairs!). I find comments like these to be fairly contumelious, but perhaps a necessity in a tourist area such as this.
Nooice is worth a visit, even if a bit of travel is required. Stick to the pancakes, though, and be prepared to leave with...
Read moreNooice in Fukuoka, Japan, is a delightful breakfast spot that left a lasting impression during my visit. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and trendy, making it an ideal spot to start the day. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a diverse selection of breakfast options, each crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
I particularly enjoyed the pancakes, which were fluffy and paired perfectly with their house-made syrup. The coffee was robust and flavorful, a great complement to the meal. The presentation of each dish was impeccable, demonstrating a keen attention to detail.
However, as much as I loved the experience, I did find myself wishing for one addition to the menu: actual home fries. A classic breakfast staple, home fries would add a comforting touch to the already impressive offerings. Despite this, Nooice stands out as a must-visit breakfast destination in Fukuoka. Its unique charm, combined with excellent food and service, ensures that I will be returning on my next trip...
Read moreI was looking for a breakfast joint and this place came up. It wasn't the first pancake place that came up. At first I was planning on going to a different place, however after looking at the pictures, I was sold because of the matcha pancakes they served. I had the matcha pancakes, a Benny and the brulee pancakes. I like the matcha more as it was less sweet, but everything was excellent, the Benny wasn't anything to write home about, but they use little pieces of baguettes vs your English muffin. Things I would recommend, would be the for sure the almond latte with the Ethiopian beans. My wife doesn't like coffee and she loved it. The sesame latte was good also, but was greatly overshadowed by the first one I mentioned. Lots of people came here, it's like in a alley, so it's not the...
