This small bar was the absolute highlight of our trip to Japan! Drinks and snacks are incredibly affordable (about 500 yen), and the service is impeccable. I knew very little Japanese (3 months of Duolingo), and their English was very good! They offer lots of local options, and the hospitality of the owners exceeded anything I’ve ever experienced. I’m not 100%, but I think they started playing American music after we sat down, and we were singing along the entire time (about 2 hours). When we paid our bill, they gave us stickers, and as we were walking out the door, one of the owners said they had another present for us… They literally gave me and my wife free shirts, and they were our exact sizes! If you’re reading this review, you should stop by. As others have said, it feels like having a few drinks at a friend’s house.11/10 best bar...
Read moreMy wife and I had a dinner seating nearby at 8pm and decided to take a walk through the side streets near our motel and found this little bar. I am so glad we did. The owner was super welcoming and showed us to a table in the tatami mat area. The beer and plum wine was well priced and we also purchased the rice crackers and nuts from the menu to go with drinks. The owner also had the local NPB game being shown on a projector with the Beatles playing on stereo to add to the vibe of the bar. 10/10 if I ever return to Hiroshima, I will make it my goal of returning to this bar.

Read moreWe discovered this place randomly the first night in Hiroshima, and we love the atmosphere: the place is like a traditional Japanese house, with soft lights and jazz music in background. The drinks are super cheap and you can also order some snacks. We came back the following night and found out there was a sort of karaoke night: the place was crowded and many people sang and played! We had so much fun! The owners are very nice and can speak English. Credit...
