Michelin-starred countertop restaurant with 8 seats. We stopped by on a Thursday at 11:30AM and were seated immediately. For lunch, you are given the choice of a rice dish or tempura omakase. We opted for ¥4200 omakase and we're glad we did! Each item had specific sauce instructions. Be prepared for a detailed play-by-play:

You are provided a bib and a tray of toppings (salt+lemon, salt, curry seasoning, tempura sauce). Simple green salad Shrimp tails (salt) Shrimp (salt) Shrimp (lemon) Mushroom with scallop (half lemon, half tempura sauce) Sweet potato (no sauce) Kiss fish (half salt, half tempura sauce) Lotus root (half salt, half tempura sauce) Gingko nuts (salt) Squid (lemon or salt) Ginseng (salt) Conger eel with radish topping (no additional sauce) Mushroom (salt) Sea bream (tempura sauce) Sweet corn (salt) Sea eel (curry) Salad (soy sauce) Miso soup and fried rice (choice of 3) Ice cream and matcha

Absolutely delicious. My first visit to a full fledged tempura restaurant despite visiting Japan countless of times. The chef fries the food right in front of you serving them fresh, fried with a thin crust. The chef can speak English, which is a plus point, and he passionately explained what sauce/ seasoning we should pair with the different food items.

For the record, you do not dip the large tempura prawns in the sauce, but use one of the flavoured salt that was provided. I have been eating tempura wrong all these years

I ordered the course to make things simple.

The chefs proudly displays the raw ingredients right at the counter. You can be sure that u r getting the real deal. I would visit here again if I chance...

The best tempura I ever had in Hiroshima. All tempura tasted so good. Many kind of dishes in a meal set. Chef will base on your eating speed to fried next tempura and put in front of you. To prevent being tired of fried food, there are 4 kind of seasoning for you-salt, curry powder, lemon juice with salt, tempura sauce with yuzu pepper. Chef will tell you which seasoning for which food. I thought this restaurant should be serious attitude on customer. But this store is not what I thought, I can take a photo on food and waitress is...
