Edit: We went back and it was superb again. We got the bone broth and Neapolitan as penned and they were stunning. The chef new We were coming back so he had prepared house noodles and dessert for us too. Just a wicked pair of humans run this place, glad we found it. Thank you Best meal we've had in Japan... on either trip. The chef and his wife were excellent, gracious and patient, he also spoke conversationally perfect English spent a moment to understand your likes and then recommends a meal from there. I had the sardine ramen and my wife had the rice with egg and pork. Both were beyond excellent and we'll be back in a few nights for the bone broth...

Super find — a hole-in-the-wall place with 9-10 seats (all at the bar). There is no English menu but the owner suggested (in perfect English) that we look it up on our phone.
Since we wanted ramen, he asked what ramen dishes we had already tried, and then suggested we try the variant made with a broth containing sardine pieces. It was delicious! (And affordable — 800-900 yen per person.)

The chef knows English very well was very warm and welcoming of foreigners. I ate the grilled pork and egg rice, the miso cow-bone ramen(Gyukatsu) with some carrot cake and black tea to finish. The food was very delicious, timely yet carefully prepared, full of flavor, and quite affordable. The salty and sweet pork was unbeatable!
