This restaurant is a hiroshimayaki specialty shop and there are tons here in the city of Hiroshima obviously. Chose this one because it has many reviews on google and it opens late unlike others. Arrived around 7 and there’s lineup. You can tell the shop is very used to serving tourists and has English menu readily available and put down order while you wait in the line, which is good. Their Okonomiyaki has udon and normal noodle options. They also has oyster version which is what this city is famous for. Ordered a shrimp pancake and an oyster version. Both tastes very good. We came at 5:15pm and had to wait around an hour to get in, and the food was average. We tried another Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki that’s more local to have a comparison point, and enjoyed that place much better for half the price.
The noodles at Mitchan was not crispy enough for our liking. We were a party of 2 and had to share a table with other people which was kind of awkward.
