Porco — Restaurant in Hiroshima

I’m only posting my review to warn others. We tried to walk in this establishment and were immediately told by the man behind the bar that it was “reservation only”. We were never greeted or asked our names so he just assumed we didn’t have a reservation. And then he actually waved his hand for us to leave. We were shocked and surprised by his rudeness. He actually wins the prize for the only person to be rude to us in Japan. Perhaps he doesn’t like foreigners so if you are local and/or Japanese maybe he’ll just assume you have a reservation. Waste of time, don’t bother...

All I can say is Wow & I never write reviews. Attempted to walk in at 21:30 & was immediately turned away with an angry “Reservation only” by the man behind the bar. There were only 4 people in the bar & open seats. He never asked if we actually had a reservation or our names, so I can only assume that we were refused service because we are foreigners. Very surprising to be treated like that because he is the 1st disrespectful person we have encountered in our time spent in Japan. I...

Great food and experience ! Japanese approach so no wine list but if you take the time to chat with the owner, he will bring out some interesting bottles !

Food was mind blowing given the size of the venue and the fact that the owner is by himself. No wonder though he’s been successfully running the venue...
