Shabu-Shabu Specialty Restaurant "Hiroshima Yagumo" — Restaurant in Hiroshima

This place is absolutely amazing. Service quality is best I’ve ever had (including some Michelin star restaurants). We went there in April with my wife and ordered shabu shabu. Having done that first time our only preparation was the videos we checked on yt about the dish. We had a private room and accompanying cook the whole time. Service was exceptional in every detail (despite speaking close to no English, which we were used to on our second week in Japan). She prepared the meal from a to z in front of our eyes asking what would we like and what not. At the very end we had the whole team (who was involved in our stay) walking us out the door and saying goodbye from the very doorstep. 0/10 Impolite. While staying at Hiroshima we decided to go to this restaurant because of its good reviews. At lunchtime, when we asked if there was a table, they told us that the restaurant was closed, even though it was open according to Google. We tried again for dinner and the answer was that that day you could only have dinner having reserved and that was full (and it didn’t seemed for us)... so it became suspicious. As mentioned in previous reviews, it seems that they only accept locals (and it doesn't matter, but it's better if they say so from the first time and you save having to go there...

先日、お伺いしました。

いつも来店させて頂いてて、いつも気持ちいい接客をされてるスタッフの方々、変わらない味を提供してくださる調理スタッフの方々にも感謝です。季節ごとにも食材を変え、どの料理人が作っても、ホールスタッフの方作っても変わらない味を提供してくださるので安心して行けるお店です。

ですが、今回食事をさせて頂いて、かなりガッカリ通り越してイライラした事があります。 この度妻が誕生日前日もあり、美味しい食事がしたいと言うこともあり、季節料理で好きな物が食べれる所でと思い、伺ったのですが、１８時半頃に来店し、注文を済ましてからのコースの御飯までの提供が、いつもだったら１時間〜１時間半で提供してくださる内容を３０分以内に提供し終える速さと、空いた食器を次々と下げ、早く食事を済ませてくれと言わんばかりの速さ、そんなに交換をお願いもしてない、おしぼりの交換(計４回程) 確かにラストオーダー３０分前に来店した自分達も悪いと思いますが、一言もなく、次々と料理提供が運ばれて来られ、ゆっくりも食べる間もなく、１９時半には出て行きました。

イライラも通り越して呆れてしまい、流石に家族の前でのクレームを直接言うのも雰囲気を悪くしてしまいますので、今回、投稿と言う形で言わせて頂きました。

よく来店させて頂いているお店なだけに残念です。 自分も飲食経験者だからわかる部分もあります。２０時閉店だから、早く料理提供して、早く片付けて帰りたい気持ちや、遅く来店されたら片付けても遅くなってしまう事もわかります。 だからこそ同業者の嫌な部分が顕著に見えてしまうと、残念でした。

次回来店したときは、そんな事が無いことを期待したいで...
