Wanted to give it 5 stars but the poor service received by the waitress there made it one star less. This ramen shop was located a the Tenmonkan 天文館 shopping district. Its main entry/store front is pretty narrow but you won’t miss it as their sign and oversized menu are outside. The menu offer 6 major kinds of Kagoshima ramen. The soup base is very good - not salty like I’m Tokyo and yet not too oily. It also comes with a taste of soy milk which makes the soup base so silky and smooth. If you order the 肉盛り (lots of meat) - the pork meat is so tender yet tasty and soft. The waitress served us was just run and forgetful. Forgot our spoons and mixed up our order even though the order was made with ticket machine 🤨 Overall if you are in Kagoshima, definitely stop by to try it.

Visited Kagoshima in February 2018. It was my first meal after I landed and it just felt like paradise! It's very hard to find authentic and great quality ramen in Europe, specially with such a price, it is simply nonexistent. It's a great experience for tourists to experience buying food from the ticket machine. It can be tricky if you don't understand Japanese or Kanji. But there is a menu with photo next to it, so it adds some fun to guess if you get it right😉 They grilled my meat freshly, it looked fat but it just melt in my mouth and with great flavour! The egg was amazing and soup was really tasty, some may find it too strong or salty but good thing in Japanese is you get iced cold water for free. I wished I had time to visit a second time!

It's amazing to have come back again to this ramen restaurant! I came last year and met Sagan and today I met him again! He served me a very tasty miso ramen and hard noodle as requested. The soup had lots of flavors that went well when adding garlic paste available in store. Extremely recommendable! Coming again to rejoice with very nice dish here, and stumbled upon with a unique Curry Ramen, Sagar's inspired dish. Not only great to have met him again, but also to try a dish based on his cuisine. Very special, not that hot, but good mix with curcumin and veggies. Never tried this around Japan and the flavor didn't disappoint. Very good to try!!

Hidden along an alleyway and only manage to kmow there is a shop there from google map. A display table of what was served was placed outside the shop. Although obscure, the interior atmosphere was great. The ramen serve was great. 2 large slabs of kurobuta grilled over charcoal and perfectly cooked tamago. Soup was slightly salty but goes very well with the pork and ramen was perfectly cooked. We went around 5pm before dinner crowd so we were practically the only one there. Staff still greet us with a big smile. Definitely worth a visit.

Good restaurant to try the famous Kagoshima ramen. Good quality and affordable price. Pay at the door from a vending machine and wait for it to be served. The char siu is really good quality. Thick yet tender and the fat melts in the mouth, however with the heaviness of the soup it adds too much fat to the ramen so it can feel too rich rather than nicely balanced. The gyoza was ok but the filling was a bit too soft. A good meal but would have been better at the end of a night after about 5 beers! 😂

I had the grilled pork ramen with raw shredded cabbage, and molten egg. The noodles were cooked just right, nice al dente bite. The soup is easily the winner..... creamy and full of flavor with just a hint of roasted garlic, which adds natural sweetness. A mug of draft beer is only ¥200. When you are seated a small tsukimono of Local pickled daikon arrives. It is very flavorful without any bitterness often found in daikon. Probably due to being grown in volcanic ash soil.
