We chose this restaurant for convenience, seeing it had a 4.2 rating on Google Maps. We figured it couldn’t be that bad. Made a reservation for 30 minutes later. When we arrived, an English menu was placed on our table, which seemed fine at first. But as we were deciding what to order, I noticed reviews on Google Maps saying this place uses two menus—one in English and one in Japanese—with higher prices for the same dishes on the English menu. I was curious and demanded to see the Japanese menu. Sure enough, they were ripping us off. Just two examples, a grilled mackerel was ¥900 on the Japanese menu but ¥1200 on the English one. Assorted tempura costs ¥1500 in Japanese, but ¥1800 in English. We used the Japanese menu to order, obviously. Then came the bill. They had the nerve to give us just a slip of paper with the total. When we asked for an itemized bill, they flat-out refused. Even after pressing with Google Translate, they kept insisting they don’t provide one. We had no choice but to pay whatever number they threw at us. Later, when we did the math, we realized they’d charged us 8% more than the prices on the Japanese menu. And to make it worse, we couldn’t even compare using the English menu because the sashimi we ordered wasn’t on there. Bottom line: do NOT go to this restaurant. They’re dishonest, running a shady operation with two menus and refusing to give an itemized bill.

Delicious lunch sets from ¥900-1200. Service was fast and friendly. The sashimi set was super fresh and amazing value for ¥1200. The fried horse mackerel seemed very popular. It was filled with locals at lunch time. No English menu but Google translate easily did the trick!

Every dish was just yum!! I'm not a tofu fan but the agadashi was lovely. My wife just raved about the tamago. And the little mollusc starter was superb. A great hidden gem.

Tucked away from three main strip it seems as if though you've walked into a private residence but once you're in they're very friendly and welcoming. Especially nice when you don't speak a word of Japanese. Had the sashimi platter, agedashi tofu and tonkatsu to share and it was divine! Well priced, fresh food that feels it's made with...

I'm never this arsh when giving up reviews but this place has two major problems, the first one is that it has a Japanese menu and a tourist menu, being the tourist menu more expensive and with a reduced amount of dishes to order. The second is that the food wasn't good or was below my expectations regarding the quality is the fish and the...
