An unforgettable omakase experience! From start to finish, everything was handled with care and precision. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and well-prepared. Staff could speak English as well, catering to foreigners like me. They made sure every guest felt welcome and taken care of, their warm and happy energy made the evening even more special. I already want to go back!
The food was phenomenal. The squid and shrimp were unbelievably soft, and the bonito and eel was a showstopper. Watching the chef ignite real straw to cook and smoke right in front of us was such a unique and captivating experience. The resulting flavor had a perfect, lingering smokiness. The chef's grill performance, his passion for cuisine and style all together - super kakkoi!!
Every detail from the customized sauces to the perfectly matched soy sauce was designed to bring out the best in each bite. One of the highlights for me was the abalone liver sauce. Creamy and complex, the richness and depth of flavor were intricate. The miso soup was on another level. Not something I expected to stand out so much, but it truly did with just simple ingredients.
We also had freshly ground wasabi prepared right in front of us, served with sushi. It elevated the taste even more. It’s clear the owner-chef has a deep respect for quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation.
There were many other dishes I haven’t even mentioned—all of them perfectly amazing.

I only found out about Sushi Morigaku thanks to a recommendation from my hotel concierge, and I feel so lucky that I did. With only 25 reviews, this place is still under the radar, but it won’t stay that way for long. Every piece of sushi was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, but the saba (mackerel) was truly exceptional—one of the best I’ve ever had, with the perfect balance of richness and umami. And to finish, the pudding was absolutely divine—so silky and flavorful, the perfect way to end the meal.
Beyond the food, the hospitality at Sushi Morigaku was unparalleled. Everyone was incredibly kind, and to my surprise, they even gave out hand warmers after the meal so guests could stay warm and get home safely. That level of thoughtfulness truly sets this place apart.
