Bar KRFT Tiki — Restaurant in Kyoto

Worth checking out– one of Japan's very few tiki bars! My travel partner is a tiki bar frequenter and personally felt the bar was a bit too sterile/ modern to have the traditional "tiki bar" vibe, and thought the drinks departed a bit too much from the usual tiki drinks as well. But even though it didn't feel like a traditional tiki bar to them, it's got a great ambiance, and some fantastic drinks, including some creative twists of tiki inspiration and Japanese ingredients. We had two drinks each and all tasted great. Note that drinks are on the expensive side- expect ¥2,000+ per drink.

We are bar aficionados and have been touring the top bars in the United States and Japan. We’ve been to famous spots like Double Chicken Please in NYC, Ben Fiddich in Tokyo, and Bees Knees in Kyoto. Bees Knees was overflowing on our recent outing and the bartender there recommended we try KRFT Tiki. We are so glad they did! Daichi is an incredible bartender and a super personable dude. He is incredibly passionate and regaled us with tiki information and lore. What an experience! We tried three or four drinks each (between 1800-2700 yen each drink) and they were all INCREDIBLE!
