We stopped here for breakfast on a rainy morning, our last day in Kyoto.

The store is compact, but warm. Most labels are in Japanese, but it's not too hard to tell what's on display.

The baker makes pastries with both European and Japanese ingredients. Clear care goes into each bread.

We loved the beef curry pan, delightfully sweet, spiced, and full of beef and potatoes.

As Quebecois, we know our croissants. This was one of the best we had, bursting with that distinctly Japanese butter flavour without being overpowering.

The addition of perfectly sweet and ripe cherry tomatoes in the tomato and cheese bread made for a bright flavour.

Custard bun (pictured) wasn't overly sweet. It was soft and creamy.

Overall, you can't go wrong at MoriMoro, a wonderful neighbourhood bakery where everything is crafted...

Stopped in while walking around in the area enjoying less known sites around the city. Had a great little bite, nothing ragingly delicious but quick and inexpensive bakery items that are generally individually wrapped. Coffee is served from a single brew pot, and you need to buy a drink to sit down. Generally you'd take your items and go. Owner was super sweet and gave us a sticker to commemorate...

Being from Montreal, Canada and being half-French from France, I've had my fair share of croissants. The croissant from Boulangerie Mori Mori blew my mind. It was crunchy, soft, fluffy and so buttery. Definitely one of the best croissants I've ever had. We had a variety of pastries, including the curry bun and the cheese bun - everything was absolutely delicious and made...

Delicious French boulangerie offering croissants, baguettes, croque-monsieur and other treats in the 200-300¥. We shared delicious croque-monsieur and tomato cheese and ham sandwich, but having them offered warmed up would have been a bonus. Olive Italian bread was good. Matcha products offered as well. Chocolate bread with almonds was interesting if a bit heavy. No place to sit or consume on side.
