KIZANO is a French/Japanese bistro, which has the most amazing food.

The bistro is about a 7 minute walk from the Kyoto JR Station. It’s small, but has a nice, simple decor to it. The atmosphere is nice - very relaxing. The perfect place to enjoy a great meal with friends.

The staff are very friendly and professional. Each dish is explained to you by the server.

Ordered the lunch set course meal and it was delicious. Started with the cauliflower purée, the mixed appetizers and the sweet potato soup. After that, was a fish dish, then the steak. Finally, the dessert was served with your choice of coffee, tea or juice. You also get a drink with your meal.

You must make a reservation (no walk ins).

The lunch set course is a great value and definitely worth the price.

Next time I’m in Kyoto, I’m definitely coming back here for another fantastic meal. KIZANO truly offers you a wonderful dining...

One of the better dining experiences that you will come across. Fusion without many seating. I believe reservations are a must.

Service is really great & food was well executed. I would have liked slightly more food for the price paid but based on the quality of ingredients I didn’t mind. The beef steak was melt-in-your-mouth standard & that’s something I rarely say.
