What a shame... The waitress doesn't speak English, she doesn't even speak Japanese or make any sound. Scary. So she showed us a paper which said sitting sitting is over 300¥ per person included small UNappetizer. We were in hurry, half hour to eat and go so decided to stay anyway. We ordered immediately a pizza and a beer. As UNappetizer we got bowl of dry-baked or dry-fried little pasta, it wasn't even eatable! Ok let's wait for pizza, that's a pizza place, it should arrive fast. After 15 minutes (20 overall) of waiting we asked where is our order and they didn't even started preparing... At this time someone from kitchen reached for raw dough to form it into pizza... I doubt the waitress informed other staff member about order. We cancelled order and then was long 7 minutes when the mute waitresses was preparing bill... Without any sound, so over 1800 for 1 beer and we were not even offered water to flushed uneatable bite of pasta? I was angry at that point, at the end leaving about 1200¥ for the beer + tax. Never more, better not give a slitghtest chance untill waitress staff change. I was never so...

PLEASE do not disappoint yourself by visiting here. It’s a rainy night so we thought we would stay local. On paper it looked ok. Beer and pizza - easy right ? Great reviews (???) How wrong could we be… Service from the mildly friendly but quite useless two young girls felt like a school canteen. They giggled and talked to other members of staff while we sat for 10 minutes without taking an order. We had to call one over in the end. Then after another 10 minutes wait the expensive even by UK standards ‘craft’ beer showed up. 3/4 of an inch missing from the top of the pint and honestly it tasted off….definitely not an £8 beer … pizza disappointment next … If you are from the UK have you ever had a frozen ‘Dr Oetka’ from the supermarket ? It was similar, yet far worse…. four tiny pieces of non existent mozzarella and a scraping of tomato. I am fairly sure the base was pre made.… I know I sound like a grumpy Brit abroad but I promise I’m not. I adore Japan and I’m well travelled but this was simply rubbish - poor service , poor quality , poor value. I feel ripped off -...

Do yourself a favor, (especially if you’re a tourist), and avoid this place at all costs. You’ve likely traveled miles, maybe even crossed continents, in search of authentic flavors or at least a welcoming dining experience. Unfortunately, this establishment fails to meet even the most basic expectations. The table charge should’ve been our first warning sign that this restaurant prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. Stick to local Japanese cuisine.

As for the food, it’s decent at best—certainly not worth the price or the hassle. But where this place truly disappoints is in the service. The staff seems uninterested and unhelpful, almost as if they’re doing YOU a favor by taking your order. You’ll wait ages for someone to take your order, and when they do, don’t expect a smile or any sign of appreciation for your business. Frankly, you might have a better experience preparing your own meal at home. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a place that genuinely values its guests, preferably one offering local dishes that reflect the...

This is a great beer ‘n’ snacks stop if you’re out and about in Kyoto. After a long day of shrine-hopping you are probably wandering past here and it will catch your eye! Whilst the pizza’s are snack-size they do point this out very clearly on the menu (there is an image indicating a 19cm diameter). I had the Teriyaki chicken and green onion. I was pleasantly surprised that it also came with egg. The pizza is very light, and the base was well cooked, thin ‘n’ crispy and meets the “one bite everyone knows the rules” undercarriage. Super super tasty. I had the Kyoto Original Pilsner; described as - an elegant pilsner with a high-quality silky bubble that makes you feel the pleasure of sliding down your throat. I couldn’t agree more and it paired excellently with the chicken pizza. Staff are fun and friendly and also speak English so communication is easy if you need that. Menu also has English translation. NB: There are a lot of very amateur touristy reviews for this business; so as long as you manage your expectations you’ll have a good experience here.

Very friendly, multi-lingual staff - very good food and extremely popular. The Chicken Pesto Pizza was really good - and I devoured the crust! The Caesar Salad was fresh, topped with bacon, fresh parm, homemade dressing and poached egg. I didn't get a photo of the whole salad and what is pictured is my second serving (there were two of us). The Sweet and Sour Fries were not my thing, but my dining partner really enjoyed them. I would prefer just sour cream rather than the sweetened version they served - clearly just a matter of personal taste. I did not try any of the craft beers, but the place was packed and I only heard good comments from neighboring tables. I highly recommend a look at the art on the walls - there are some surprises. Our waiter spoke perfect English and the menu was available in English.Reservations are accepted.

It's hard to believe but after a week of eating the beat sushi in the world, we had a hankering for some good old western food and the first thing that came to mind was pizza! This place wasn't far from our hotel in Kyoto so we took a chance. Don't expect a good New York or even New Haven style pizza as the Japanese make a small thin crust pie. Sauce was OK, but the cheese (as in all of Japan) lacked taste and texture. I wanted pepperoni but what I got was some kind of salami and peppers, it was bland. My wife had the Margherita and she liked it but again, the cheese wasnt up to snuff. Overall experience was not up to my pizza standards, but when in Japan, this is as about as good as it gets.
