Wow! My family was wandering around when we spotted the little French flag, and thought this would be a really interesting dinner. But as the waitress explained they were fully booked! So we were almost going to miss it but then the chef offered a private seating over the holiday!

The meal was delicious, a perfect capture of classic French cooking with Japanese ingredients and detail. The chef served us drinks and gave us his four course meal and the four of us had one of each entree: duck breast, wagyu-Kyoto beef cheek and braised beef, pork stew and a bouillabaisse.
Every course was better than the last, and the dessert was light and a perfect closer.
Can't thank the chef enough for such a unique experience and if we are ever in Kyoto again we will happily stop by again!
