A week in to a trip in Japan and this was the first disappointing meal. Being brutally honest, it felt like a waste of calories considering how much good food was in the area.
Ordered the rice bowl with wagyu beef along with stewed tendon.
Not sure what cut of wagyu was served but it was quite tough and difficult to chew. Lots of connective tissue and far from tender.
The stewed tendon was also likely just boiled for a short time. It was not a tender tendon like you'd expect from a stew.
