Umezono — Restaurant in Kyoto

The atmosphere is nostalgic more than expect. Maybe there were a group of student dropping by. The decorations is wooden and old painting really cute. I visited here on pre winter season so I had mochi-red bean soup and my mom had some kind of matcha ice cream with jelly and mochi.

Grilled mochi is the best ! The red bean soup was a little too sweet for me but still delicious! Like real nostalgic sweet not a bad sweet :)

We had their mitarashi dango (grilled dango) and the Uji matcha shaved ice; both were incredible and unique. They gave us extra matcha syrup for pouring on top of the shaved ice if we needed more.
