Upit's Burger — Restaurant in Kyoto

Food: Pros - the cheese. We got the upit custom burger. They put 3 types of cheese and an amount of your liking on it. Gorgonzola ftw. Cons - the meat is very slightly overcooked and so it gets a little dry. I've had worse. It's also one of these stacked high burgers so you have to cut it and eat the pieces basically a la carte which is annoying. Would prefer wider than higher. The cook also forgot a topping, jalapenos, but after having to ask service for two other things they forgot I didn't care and just ate. 3/5

Service: Not great. They take your order as you wait so that helps because it takes a while for them to cook. After waiting like 10 or 15 minutes to sit (no big deal), they gave hand wipes and silverware to two other tables before us before I asked for our own. Then they forgot I had ordered a drink so I had to ask for that, too. Then the jalapenos, so yeah. 2/5

Space: Annoying dance music but not too loud. Hot inside but it's summer and there's fans. We had comfy sofa seats, but many tables with only stools. No idea about wifi. No smoking and clean. 4/5

Final verdict: solid meh 3/5. For 1500 yen the burger could be better and for 400+ yen my Dr. Pepper should come when I'm thirsty. I can see a 2/5 experience or a 4/5 experience, but this is not worthy of 5 stars unless you have low standards.

First time a burger hit me with upmost energy, ate it with joy and finished everything with highest joy energy. Gave it a 10 out of 10, 100 full marks. When it was served, my heart opened up, hooooo immediately connected with the energy, felt the effort behind, heart shape ketchup, "Joy burger"!

I cannot spot a single negative point in this lunch experience:

1. good friendly service;
2. let you choose own toppings, so I can ignore tomato, avacado, pickles which I never enjoy. You got to choose what you like and want, this is Law of attaction, know what we want, get it, and enjoy and have joy!
3. the egg was so well made;
4. sooo crispy fries, and they asked you whether u prefer "fat" or "thin" fries, again... its what U want, the effort to ensure you enjoy what you want! Amazing effort. It should be the way for all the shops n chef because everyone has own taste n liking. You feel happy and satisfied when you truly enjoy what you like.

If you are in Ukyo, Kyoto, and you want the best cheeseburger, you have to stop by UPIT’S Burger 🍔.

This craft burger restaurant is home to the Lava Burger - so much cheese!!! The prices range from ¥900 to ¥1800 depending on the burger. They come with your choice of thin or thick fries and a small salad (if you order a plate).

The staff are very nice and accommodating, especially the cooks (so friendly and fun to talk to).

The restaurant is 2 levels - downstairs is the kitchen and waiting area and upstairs is the dining area. The atmosphere is nice with good vibes to it and decent music playing in the background.

The burgers are juicy and flavourful - you can taste the goodness. The toppings are bountiful ranging from fried onions to jalapeños. The bun is toasted to perfection. The cheese….so much cheese. The best part about this restaurant is that you can customize your own burger and name it.

The restaurant can get quite busy, so there might be a line up (waiting times can be up to 45 minutes or longer depending on the day of the week and time of day).
