I'm a tourist and made a lunch reservation. This was an omakase course, which included seasonal items and other best-of-kind ingredients.
There were eight people at the counter, so it was also entertaining to watch the sushi chef prepare for all the guests. Some of the guests were clearly regulars, but the sushi chef made everyone feel comfortable. I don't speak much Japanese at all, but the sushi chef went out of his way to explain to me what he was serving in English, which made me feel really well taken care of.
The sushi was absolutely wonderful. Of course, the fish was of the highest quality, and it was prepared with exceptional skill and care, Also, the balance between the rice and fish was perfection.
I like drinking sake with sushi, and they have a wide variety, including some really precious brands, so it was fun tasting the difference.
