Would recommend this place if you need a banh mi fix. The banh mi we got is as good as what you would expect to get back home.
We arrived around 11am, and they had already run out of roast pork. Instead, we got the banh mi with fried egg and the pate and pork. Both were delicious. Bread rolls were lightly toasted, just enough crunchiness to not cut your gums when biting into it, and the fillings had a good ratio of meat and pickles.
Also ordered the Vietnamese coffee, but note that whilst they use a Vietnamese coffee blend, it's not served with the condensed milk. Instead, it's served as an iced black coffee, and you're provided with the mini milk and sugar syrup cartons to add yourself.
You know this place is the real deal because while we were dining there, all the customers that came through were Vietnamese expat (students) who seemed to know the owners and were already regulars.
Menus are also available in English...

You can eat in or take away, but the place only sits perhaps 6.
You enter and order at the machine - place cash in and then select the bahn mi or pho you want. There's enough English to order! Then you grab your change send the ticket the machine produces and hand it over at the counter.
When I went, the place was playing Vietnamese music videos and there were Vietnamese people chatting away in Vietnamese while eating and others who were coming and going with take away. It's a popular spot and great for breakfast since they...
Read moreI was craving for pho and banh mi. This restaurant has both so it’s two birds with one stone. It was promising to see the owners speaking in Vietnamese. Feels familiar. The subs were tasty, not comparable to the ones you get in Vietnam but it was good. Pho was on the sweater side but it’s welcoming considering how salty the ramen is here in Osaka. The flavours were there and if this was in Vietnam, I’d give it a three. But we’re in Osaka and maybe this is the best you can get. Owners were friendly and the restaurant was...
