This is a very traditional Okonomiyaki restaurant tucked away on a small street. If you donât want to spend too much time in line, Iâd suggest arriving about 15 minutes before opening.
As a tourist trying Okonomiyaki for the first time, I had no idea how to cook it myself. Luckily, if you order the Chigusaâthe restaurantâs signature dish with porkâthe staff will cook it for you. You can even choose your preferred toppings before itâs finished. One of the most memorable moments was when I struggled to cut my Okonomiyaki, and the lady boss (who was busy cooking yakisoba) came over right away to help me.
Although the restaurant is small, a little crowded, and filled with a slight smoky aroma from everyone cooking their own Okonomiyaki, it adds to the authentic atmosphere.    Read morea very local okonomiyaki shop in a rare lane. over 90% customers were local japanese there. but don't worry it's easy to order with the photos on the menu. we ordered the okonomiyaki with pork, then another one was the octopus and oyster which was the seasonal special.
it came as raw and we gotta mix and cook by ourselves, this was very exciting! it's easy tho! just mixed everything and pour it evenly over the hot cooking plate in the middle of the table. without touching it just let it cook till one side was done, then came to the most exciting moment! to flip it over! fortunately we did it :) then put the sauce on top and was ready to eat! we had a great time here! good food good mood. also good price.
