City Bakery is a great place to meet up with friends and have a nice catchup over lunch. The food is consistently good and there is always plenty of space in the large eat-in area. I have been many times and have never had to worry about finding a seat. The only criticism I have is that while I understand the policy of the customer returning their tray after the meal, no staff member comes around regularly to wipe the tables down. I usually have my own wipes in my bag but I don’t like that every time I have visited, I have had to wipe other people’s crumbs off the table. And I’m not talking like I want a particular table and it just happens to be dirty, I mean most of the empty tables have crumbs on them so it’s obvious that no one has come around to wipe them. Worse thing is they have healthy sounding smoothies like kale & banana but they add sugar syrup to it 🤮 even though dine in, this was served in a plastic cup. Considering it costs ¥820, I thought the portion was rather small.
