I came here with my girlfriend for the Afternoon Tea Set and I only have praises to say. Even though I was unable to get a window seat, I still enjoyed the experience very much; the atmosphere was high class and romantic. The service, the food and the beverages, were all top-notch. Literally every food item was a winner, specifically a savory dish which contained salmon and was without a doubt the best.
They have 8 different teas on offer with a free flow. My girlfriend and I tried all of them, including a quality hot Cappuccino at the end which is also part of the beverages’ free flow. All the teas, except for one that I didn’t quite connect with, had genuinely good flavor.
The service was in one word EXCEPTIONAL. I would personally like to thank Ms. Rikako Ueda for her problem-solving approach which allowed this visit to even take place. When I made the reservation over the phone less than an hour prior to my arrival, I was asked if we have any food allergies. I explained that we both do not eat pork for religious reasons. I was told over the phone that any such items in the ICON Afternoon Tea Set could be substituted and that it would be taken care of.
Upon my arrival to the bar in the Conrad’s Lobby floor, I reiterated it to the person who seated us. Several minutes later he came back to us explaining that all the sweet items contain Gelatin which is made also from pork and that if we cannot eat pork, we would not be able to have the Afternoon Tea Set. We got very disappointed because we came excited and with high expectations especially for this set.
While we were contemplating what to do next with the menu we were handed, here came Ms. Rikako Ueda, the manager in charge. With her inequivalent courtesy she was able to take care of the ICON Afternoon Tea Set replacements so that it would not contain any pork-related items such as Gelatin. Thank you very much madam for finding a way, you made our day, you are a vital asset to Conrad Osaka!
Despite not getting the original set, I must say, it was totally worth it, for the experience, for the service, for the food and the beverages – Outstanding across the board. Lastly, if you are a Hilton Honors member, don’t forget to mention it as it would grant you 10% discount on...
Read moreWe celebrated my husband’s birthday at the 40 Sky Bar & Lounge inside the Conrad Osaka, and it was truly a special experience from start to finish.
From the moment we entered the hotel, we were in awe of the ambiance. The lobby is a stunning showcase of elegance, featuring a breathtaking lobby that instantly sets the tone for a refined experience. The staff welcomed us warmly, and we were soon whisked away in the elevator to the 40th floor, where the sky lounge is located.
As the elevator doors opened, we were greeted with panoramic views of Osaka’s skyline—absolutely mesmerizing. The floor-to-ceiling windows allowed natural light to flood the space, and the stylish, modern décor created a perfect balance of luxury and comfort.
We had reserved the Strawberry Afternoon Tea for two, and our daughter enjoyed a kid’s meal. Every detail on the tiered tray was impeccable—from the delicate pastries and fluffy scones to the creative savory bites. Each item was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The strawberry theme was playful yet refined, incorporating seasonal ingredients with a sophisticated twist.
the price was incredibly reasonable. We left feeling like we had enjoyed a world-class afternoon without the heavy price tag, making it all the more memorable.
If you’re looking for a special way to celebrate or simply want to indulge in an elegant afternoon tea with breathtaking views and exceptional service, I highly recommend 40 Sky Bar & Lounge at Conrad Osaka. It was a day we’ll...
Read moreLocated in Conrad, this bar has everything you can expect from a high-end hotel bar: Impressive architecture and interiour design, live music, top notch waiters, high price tag, and a sky-high cover charge for walk-ins. The infamous view is impressive and probably the main reason to stop over for a cocktail.
The cocktail menu is certainly more creative than usual and it made me drink more than I planned to, but none of the drinks was really outstanding and memorable, a flaw which happens way too often at high-end hotel bars like this. The same goes for food items on the menu. All of them were very good, but nothing was really excellent or outstanding.
What really bugged me on the day of my visit was the lack of service. To make this clear, I do have no complaints at all about any of the waiters, however, the whole place was remarkably under-staffed. The management should really do an effort...
