KURA - Teppanyaki & Sushi — Restaurant in Osaka

It was my second time in Osaka and on a recommendation from a good friend, I went to Kura Tepanyaki for the first time. I was very happy with chef - TASHIRO and his cooking skills. He cooked in front of me and gave me three amazing dishes: I enjoyed Assorted Seafood(Kuruma Prawn, Scallop and Fish) with Special Sauce that recommended from Chef. Next Is Black Abalone from Mie Prefecture with Mustart Sumiso Butter Sauce. And Hyogo Prefecture A5 Wagyu. The meet is so tender , juicy and melts in mouth . Not only did I enjoy the food, I also loved the ambiance and the beautiful view of the city’s skyline on sunset from 40F in CONRAD Osaka Hotel. Finally, Chef Tashiro is a friendly guy and gave us a lot personal recommendations for touring Osaka and Kyoto. I would love to come back to this amazing...

I give the Teppanyaki experience here not only 5 stars but one of the highest levels of service and food I had during my entire stay in Japan. Under $100 for some of the best A5 out there. The very nice appetizers .. yellowtail sashimi .. perfectly made rice and vegetables… but the best part is the chef. I had the same chef both times and he is such a pleasure even though we couldn’t communicate much… he is A true craftsman at Teppanyaki.

Don’t miss the spot in Osaka ! Best part is they treat Hilton Diamond members exceptionally well with a decent discount. That will keep me coming back.

Our chef undercooked our Kobe beef THREE separate times. The manager was kind enough to remove over 40,000 yen from the original bill because of this.

The hibachi chef literally has one job; to cook the steak to the customers preference. I have been to tons of Teppanyaki in Japan and this was the worst experience to date. Very unfortunate because the setting is sublime.

Be wary when ordering the world’s most expensive beef here. I would not recommend this to anyone who has experience with wagyu and kobe beef. There are plenty of other...
