Iwaidori Yodoyabashi Honten — Restaurant in Osaka

Had a pretty bad experience here, in fact, one of the worst I have ever experienced in Japan. First of all the food is pretty mid… it just isn’t impressive at all for the prices. There was also a bug in one of the dishes. The waiter agreed to cancel the item but ended up still charging us. Do note that you will have to order one drink per person. Ordering less than 5 skewers per person seems unacceptable according to other reviews online. Somehow we were served two skewers before even seeing the menu… how is that fair? My mom even had diarrhoea the night we dined there. Be careful and avoid this tourist...

Dinner 23rd May. We had dinner here tonight by chance, been walking aoud a lot for past 3 days we thought we pick a local place for convience.

Boi we were happy we came here. Menu was only in Japanese, we took out time with Google translate, but it wasn't 100%. Lukckly we had a young lady with long pony tail served us upstairs, that made a really effort to help us explaining the cuts on the yakitori. Top service.

Food was on point, sooo tasty. Mince chicken tsukune was, chicken wrapped is shiso, chicken heart, tamagoyaki, zizania latifolia were...

Stayed at a hotel close by and my only regret is we didn't try this spot sooner. It was by far one of the best meals I've had in a long long time. Everything was well seasoned and the variety was amazing. For a party of 3, we had around 25 yakitori 2 drinks and a pop. Our bill was less than ¥90,000. I didn't like Osaka compared to Kyoto but man, this Izakaya redeemed this city in my eyes. Hope to be back on...
