Our stay at Sotetsu Fresa Inn in Japan was truly the best! The staff, though not very fluent in English, tried their best and were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They were always ready to assist with a smile.
Despite the compact size of the rooms, they were comfortable enough for our stay. The bathrooms were the highlight - automatic bidets should be mandatory wherever you are in the world. The airconditioning and air filter/humidifiers were good enough. Our only complaint was that there were so few electric sockets. Housekeeping was thorough and respectful of our belongings. They made sure that the room is clean and pleasant without disturbing our personal items.
The hotel amenities were also outstanding. They offered a wide range of options to enhance our stay. We particularly appreciated the Japanese-style pajamas provided daily, which helped us with our laundry since we didn't have to use our own clothes for sleeping the night in the hotel. The hotel’s also very close to the train station, accessible via an exclusive elevator, which made it easy to travel (just make sure to familiarize yourself with the underground map unlike us!)
The surrounding areas, Yodoyabashi and Midosuji, were charming with plenty of local restaurants and stores to explore. The nearby konbinis were perfect for any forgotten essentials or a quick snack or your daily breakfast.
We also appreciated the purified water from the faucet, which saved us from buying bottled water. The laundry room with coin-operated machines which also offered the convenience of being able to check the status from our room’s TV, was a great addition. Although we didn't spend much time in the lounge, it looked inviting and very spacious.
Overall, our experience was exceptional. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan and we're currently considering staying exclusively at their branches whenever we...
Read moreThe hotel is right on Yodoyabashi underground station, so you can take the elevator to -1F, and you are in the station. It is very easy to travel to kyoto and other destinations. The hotel was clean and modern, self check in, and check out. Loads of amenities on the 3F as well as pyjamas. The room had a mini fridge, the bed was comfy, and you could open the window. You can see if the washing machines are occupied on your tv - tv had only 6 channels all in japanese. Housekeeping was great. The hotel is in a remote location -business area-, so if you are planning to spend most of your days in osaka, you will need to travel everywhere as it took over 40 minutes to walk to the center of Dotonbori. Also, there are barely any food restaurants around. There is Lawson close by, but if you are looking for a bigger cheap supermarket,Life is about a 15-minute walk. Also, nearby roads must be favourite for motorbikes and fast cars as you can hear them speed very loudly...
Read moreThe room is small and compact. My mom and I, who are big for Asians, can stay together without feeling cramped. You can open a big suitcase, so you don't have to worry about packing. The bathroom may be small, but it is the general size of a Japanese hotel. The facilities in the hotel are very good. You can pick up your amenities on the third floor, which is the hotel lobby, including your pajamas. Also there are coin laundry machine and vending machine located on 3rd floor as well. The staff are very kind and lovely and always ready to help. The most important thing is that the location is very convenient because you can enter the hotel by elevator from the subway exit 16. If you go back to the airport by bus, it is also easy, just take 1 ride by subway the red line; Midosuji from Yodobayashi station to Umeda station. It only takes 15 minutes. very very convenient. TBH...
