I checked out this spot today because every time I've walked by, they're always busy and a line going. I wanted to know the hype! I ordered a variety of things to try~
Japanese Fresh Octopus with Porcini Ragu Sauce (国産 生真ダコ ポルチーニラグーソース): Hands down, my favorite dish of the night. I wasn't expecting this to be this freaking good. The octopus was tender but had just the right chew, and the mashed potatoes were so smooth and tasty. Definitely not tough or rubbery—just perfect. So tasty.
Beef Cheek Simmered in Red Wine (赤ワインで煮込んだ牛ほほ肉): This one was amazing too. The beef was super tender and literally fell apart. The portion was smaller than I expected for a “main dish,” but it was so good I didn’t mind too much. I felt it was like the octopus dish but with beef instead. Honestly, even though I usually love meat more than seafood, I’d pick the octopus over this—it totally surprised me!
Konnyaku with Meat Sauce and Cheddar Cheese (こんにゃく 肉味噌ボロネーゼ チェダーチーズ): Not really my thing. It was these jelly-like rectangles with meat sauce and cheddar cheese. The cheese wasn’t very melty either, which might’ve made it better(?), but overall, it just didn’t hit for me.
Baba au Rhum (ババ・オ・ラム): This dessert was amazing. The cake was moist and completely soaked. The cream was cold and refreshing, and the caramel had just the right amount of sweetness—not too much, just a nice hint. They also had a rum-soaked version, which sounded fancy, but I stuck with the caramel.
There’s a two-hour dining limit, and they track the time with a countdown on an iPad. You also order everything through the iPad, which was super easy since it includes photos. The staff was really friendly, though the menu was in Japanese when I ordered on the Ipad, so keep that in mind if you’re not fluent.
They played a mix of music, including Christmas songs (tis the season), some Japanese pop, Dancing Queen, and, to my surprise and delight, Frozen’s Let It Go.
Overall, I had such a great time here! The food was delicious, especially the octopus~ I just wished the portion was...
Read moreTwo of us dined at this restaurant tonight. We ordered tomato, beef stroganoff, horseradish in mushroom sauce, foie gras, and butter with dried fruits. It took the waiters a very long time to serve, but the most aggravating thing was the blonde waitress serving us the butter. I asked her, while she was serving, where the bread was, and she told me, "No bread," and to eat it as is. It was back and forth, and she served it anyway and walked away. I asked another waiter to cancel the foie gras because they ran out of bread—not that they had the courtesy to let a customer know. It was disgusting. They definitely treated me like this because I am not Japanese. Later, I complained to her manager. She acknowledged and still charged me. She saw that I was upset, she saw that other people in the restaurant, who are Japanese, were very upset with their behavior and their greed. They are not professional; they are disrespectful, discriminative against tourists, and greedy. By the way, the food was eh, beef stroganoff was tasty but SMALL PORTION. I also ordered grape juice - and they served in a wine glass with a 1 inch small quantity that was disregarded when it was to their attention....

You can order easily using their tablet, the English option doesn't work so use your translator.
There is a 1 drink minimum per person, I reccomend the muscat sparkling wine. The food is very delicious here but expect to wait a long time for it. We waited 30 minutes for 1 dish, then another 20 minutes for our 2nd. If you're hungry and looking for something quick, I don't reccomend this location.
This location accepts card.
(old review) Expect to wait in line. We came for dinner and waited about 75 minutes to get seated.
The food here is definitely worth trying. Every dish we tried here is delicious, excitingly new to my group, and reasonably priced.
Some tips: Order quick! Some dishes sell out. We tried to get the last braised beef and was too slow to get our order in before another group.
Wines and sparkling wines here are great as well. Definitely come...
