This place is a disgrace. I thought Osaka is the gourmet capital 🏯how can such a terrible place still be open at a central place in Umeda? The yakitori was thoroughly disgusting, sometimes it's like biting into pure lard with no seasoning🤮Mind you this is chicken. How they can cook chicken to make you want to vomit is beyond my understanding. Some of the yakitori on the other hand is over seasoned and burnt on one side, feels like a bite into salt crusted charcoal, truly once in a lifetime Japanese experience 🤢This is literally your job and specialty! I understand if it's starting new product line limited promotion, and you mess it up due to lack of experience and quality control, but it's not. The rest of ~60% are just meh, acceptable food. We always respect the food, and not leave leftovers even if it tastes bad, but the food here made me want to vomit, could not bring myself to finish this.
I have never commented on or cared that much about service, as I go into restaurants for the food experience not service. Also this is Japan, where people put on their best service smile and make sure to look inviting and helpful for customers. But no, I think the people working here seriously hate their jobs or something. They go out of their way to make you feel unwelcomed and disliked with eyes rolling and grimacing faces 🙄 I understand life can throw a lot of things at you, and we are not always in the best mood. But customers didn't do that to you, how everyone at the shop is fuming with disdain is a bit incredulous. I guess their google review promotion only gives that free drink for 5 star reviews, not honest...
Read moreI’m giving my very first one star for the customer service, but the food was actually quite good. We ordered two grilled beef tenderloins but only received one. After waiting over 15 minutes for the second, we inquired with the staff, who insisted that both had been served and that we must have miscounted. Despite our repeated explanations, she didn't seem to believe us. Fortunately, I had taken a picture of the meal, which confirmed that the second beef tenderloin was indeed missing. Once I showed her, she finally agreed to prepare the second one. However, there was no apology, and her demeanor remained cold throughout the encounter. As a customer, I found this treatment very disappointing. This was the most unpleasant experience during my trip in Japan, and I won’t be returning to this restaurant. I recommend that other customers take photos of their orders to avoid similar situations cause after all, no one would want to be...
Read moreThe restaurant is located at Basement 2 of the Lucua Department Store at Osaka Train Station. It was my first time trying kushiyaki (skewered and grilled foods). I ordered the chicken sampler, grilled squid and edamame. The English translation of the chicken sampler was mixed chicken. To my surprise, I ended up with skewers of chicken offal (a skewer of chicken liver, chicken heart, and chicken skin), a skewer of chicken fillet and a skewer of bony chicken. The grilled squid was very tender and delicious. The chicken sampler was a surprise. I took a bite of the chicken heart, chicken liver and chicken skin and decided to leave them alone. The chicken fillet was good. The staff was friendly and we had a laugh when I told them that chicken offal was not what I had in mind when ordering the chicken sampler. We live...
