Terrible service! Visited before dinner for a drink and light snack, cheese platter was of poor quality but what was very concerning is the level of service especially considering this restaurant and bar is inside a 4 stars hotel. We ordered a draft beer which was completely fine but the white was not good at all, almost tasted like it was diluted with water. The server poured a glass of white wine left, we tasted the wine and called the attention of a server, (I didn’t get the name but he was a male with long hair) and very politely we shared that the wine wasn’t good for us and we would like to change to another glass; he didnt show any empathy or concern and ask which other wine we wanted. After selecting the wine he brought the bottle again and showed only the label and pour the whole glass. I returned the first wine saying we wouldn’t drink it anymore and he could take it away. Again no empathy showed at all. Considering that basic standards include serving a small taste for wines by the glass and that the glass was still full when we returned it we were expecting a little more care. When we asked for the check the wine we returned was on the bill and when I asked him about he said very awkwardly sorry and look down without replying to us anymore. Now all we would have expected or at least appreciated was a little empathy for a product served at your establishment. We spoke both Japanese and English to this employee and there was no language barrier. I hope you take more serious guests’ feedbacks and that this person is trained well to provide basic service steps. Definitely not recommended for the experience and the price for the...
Read moreI rarely leave scathing reviews, but The Lokal House in Osaka truly earned one. Out of four meals at our table, only one could be described as decent — and for a restaurant this expensive, that’s disgraceful.
The wagyu steak (if you can even call it that) was an absolute travesty. Tough, flavorless, and more reminiscent of a cheap strip than any cut of wagyu I’ve ever had. It was hands down the worst steak I’ve ever been served. The prawns were so overcooked they bordered on rubber, and the pork rib was a complete disaster — so dry my companion literally could not eat more than a single bite.
For a restaurant positioned inside a reputable hotel, the quality was shockingly poor. Osaka is one of the great food cities of the world, yet this establishment feels like an insult to the city’s culinary reputation. My advice: don’t waste your money or your...
Read moreHad dinner and breakfast included for my stay and everything prepared by the chefs were a godsend. Dinner was a 4 course meal with free flow drinks (depending on which course you order) and the pasta, chicken and appetisers were all very well made and it was a unique experience overall. Not to mention the price was very reasonable. Breakfast was a standard buffet style with eggs to order, the salad dressing which was made in house was splendid and so were the mushrooms. Shoutout to chef Aldo for explaining the dishes and for...
